The grapes harvested to date are of excellent quality with an average quantity decreasing by up to 20%, even if it is still early to determine exactly the extent until we have finished the entire harvest.
The delay in the ripening of the grapes was around 15 days and this ensured optimal ripening. Having denied the forecasts of intense heat for this 2019 summer season, the climatic trend has seen in our area (Favara - Ag) a prolonged summer with good temperature ranges. The arrival of the late rains at the beginning of September was a panacea for the varieties still to be harvested because it allowed for a lowering of temperatures, a healthy trend for completing the ripening of the grapes.
